Celebrity Solstice is the flagship for Celebrity Cruises' top-class fleet of ships. Launched in 2008, the 122,000-ton, 1,033-foot ship carries 2,850 passengers on Caribbean voyages. A pioneer for green practices in the cruise industry, Celebrity Solstice is partially powered by 216 solar panels.
Celebrity Solstice Recreation
The ship's most innovative feature is the incredible Lawn Club on the ship's highest deck. This perfectly manicured lawn of living grass features bocce courts, a putting green, and many areas to relax and enjoy a piece of land at sea. The ship also features a full library, card room, art gallery, and theatre. Working out on your Celebrity cruise is fun and easy in the ship's fitness center, where you'll find state-of-the-art exercise equipment and fitness classes led by professional trainers. The AquaSpa offers full-service spa and salon services as well as adult-only swimming pools. For families, the main pool is shallow enough for children. The main pool area also features a sports pool. Celebrity places an emphasis on educational activities; computer classes and educational lectures are available for your enrichment. Bars and lounges range from quiet pubs to exciting dance clubs. Try your luck in the onboard casino or sample wines from around the world in the wine tasting bar. For shoppers, Shops on the Boulevard features 19 boutiques and shops with wares ranging from fine jewelry to designer fragrances at steep discounts. Kids and teens have their own facilities - Fun Factory and XClub - where they can hang out and enjoy daily supervised activities.
Celebrity Solstice Food
Offering more dining options than previous classes of Celebrity cruise ships, Celebrity Solstice introduced the many dining options available on Solstice-class ships. With 10 separate restaurants, including four specialty restaurants, passengers have no shortage of delicious gourmet food. Casual dining is available at the Oceanview Cafe and Bar, Mast Grill and Bar, AquaSpa Cafe, and Bistro on Five. The main dining room, Grand Epernay Restaurant, is elegant and encased in glass, offering breathtaking views of the ocean as you dine in style. Coffee and decadent gelato are available at Cafe al Bacio and Gelateria. For specialty dining for an added fee, passengers can make reservations at Silk Harvest Restaurant, Murano, or the Tuscan Grille. Blu Restaurant is an exclusive dining option for AquaClass passengers and those staying in suites.
Celebrity Solstice Staterooms
Celebrity Solstice brought significant technological advancements to the Celebrity Cruise Line. Every stateroom features a minimum 32-inch flatscreen LCD television. Through a partnership with Apple computers, Celebrity Solstice features Mac mini computers in each cabin with interactive features and in-room programming. Convertible twin-to-queen beds, safes, mini bars, and private bathrooms with showers are also standard in every room. An incredible 85 percent of staterooms feature a balcony. Two Penthouse Suites and 44 Sky Suites are at the top tier of the ship's accommodations. In between standard rooms and suites are 130 AquaClass rooms which offer extra perks and in-room amenities plus access to Blu Restaurant.
