Launched in 2001, the Golden Princess is part of the Grand class of Princess cruise ships. At nearly 109,000 tons and 951 feet, the Golden Princess is large enough to accommodate 2,600 passengers on year-round voyages to Hawaii and leisurely cruises to nowhere.

Passengers of all ages and interests have plenty to do onboard Princess cruise ships, and the Golden Princess offers enough activity and recreation to pack your days and nights with fun. A grand theater features music, films, and live shows. The Atlantis Casino, lounges, bars, and nightclubs are open until the wee hours for late night fun. Four swimming pools, four hot tubs, and a splash pool for little ones provide plenty of fun in the sun. The Golden Princess is particularly sports-friendly with a wide range of sport courts and activities, including a lap pool, complete fitness center, mini-golf course, virtual golf simulators, and jogging track. The adults-only Sanctuary provides the perfect relaxing respite from non-stop activity onboard and at port. Learn about art, computers, and nature with the onboard enrichment programs that feature lectures, workshops, and classes to expand your mind. There's a 24-hour Internet cafe, library, writing room, and art gallery. Movies under the Stars is a fun way to see your favorite films - outdoors on a giant poolside screen. Gourmet food is a Princess cruise specialty, and every ship is a part of the prestigious Chaine des Rotisseurs gastronomic society. You have a wide variety of dining options on the ship, and all of them offer delicious menus with mouthwatering cuisine. Choose between traditional seating or an anytime schedule in the ship's three main dining rooms. Formal meals are served with world-class service in an elegant atmosphere. Two specialty restaurants - Sabatini's and Crown Grill - serve delicious Italian food and steaks for a small fee. For a truly unforgettable dining experience, a multi-course meal is available with private in-suite service through Ultimate Balcony Dining. The Horizon Court and Bistro serves a 24-hour buffet for casual dining. The International Cafe is also open with a la carte dining 24 hours. A pizzeria, ice cream bar, wine bar, and poolside grill provide plenty of opportunities to snack throughout the day (and night). Afternoon tea is served every day in the dining room, and 24-hour room service is also available.

With an emphasis on affordable balcony rooms, Golden Princess features an incredible 736 rooms with balconies. Standard cabin sizes range from 160 square feet to 864 square feet in the Grand Suite. Middle of the road mini-suites offer extra amenities and space, plus a sitting room and bathtub. All standard cabins include private bathrooms with showers, robes upon request, safes, refrigerators, hairdryers, and TVs offer featuring movies, CNN, ESPN, TNT, cartoons and Discovery Channel.
